Meerkerk Gardens is a popular destination, but offers lots of private trails and scenery that is truly awesome. These pictures were taken after the Rhode's blooms were nearly gone. Still my favorite sights there are found on the pristine forest trails.

It's hard to convey in a picture what it's like to be deep into the forest with no one else around. This picture offers a view of one of the "clearings" along the way.

In Kansas, we worked hard to grow those Boston Ferns in our hanging baskets. Here, they grow like weeds.
